Created a companion site to the annual Dutch Remembrance Day in Oosterpark Amsterdam, hosted by 4 Mei Comité Oosterparkbuurt. In this event, a campaign of "Remembrance Posters" is placed around the neighbourhood, which this project serves as a companion to.
The project features an overview of all available remembrance posters, complete with a progressively enhanced filter system, and a map component for showing the location of each of these posters.
A great deal of care was taken to ensure the website is progressively enhanced, performant, responsive, and accessible. It was built from scratch, with only a vague concept from the stakeholders to go off of. Through bi-weekly sprint reviews with said stakeholders, I was able to translate these loose ideas into actionable design choices, from which I created both a design and a functioning website.
In this process I worked as a duo with one of my lecturers at the time; Joost Faber. This was a very productive partnership, in which we both learned a ton. He mostly worked on the back-end, which was created in the Directus CMS, which I also contributed to. My job was to create the front-end in SvelteKit, which Joost also contributed to.
